I am running windows vista, and I am the admin of the system. I am trying to install the help files for Nero 9, that I downloaded from their site. The help package is a 5MB exe file, that just will not install. I keep getting access denied when trying to unpack and install the help files into the Nero 9 directories. I have changed ownership of the Nero folder and subfolders from system to me (admin), and still does not work.
Sample errors:
copy NeroWaveEditor_Eng.chm to C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 9\Nero WaveEditor\
Access is denied.
0 file(s) copied.
copy NeroVision_Eng.chm to C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 9\Nero Vision\
Access is denied.
0 file(s) copied.
copy NeroStartSmart_Eng.chm to C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 9\Nero StartSmart\
Access is denied.
0 file(s) copied.
copy NeroSoundTrax_Eng.chm to C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 9\Nero SoundTrax\
Access is denied.
0 file(s) copied.
This might be a stupid question but can anyone advice how to fix error code 39 on windows xp ?
hi
can you please help
whenever i right on any folder or file , i get a error message” Registry access denied ” i am using windows xp sp 2 , i have administrator rights.
I can’t do this because my old drive has been backed up into an image file (using Acronis TrueImage).
– I can’t change the permissions of the old Documents & Settings user folder because it’s in an image archive, and I can’t copy the folder entirely due to lack of permissions.
