One of the most pending suggestions and improvement being requested by youtube users has been fulfilled, youtube has now increased the video duration allowed per video from 10 minutes to 15 minutes. So now any video you upload can be of 15 minutes maximum length.

In the meantime, you may wonder “why now?” — the upload limit for non-partners has been 10 minutes for years.
