WordPress Tip – Add Twitter ID Box In Comment Form

Twitter is one such rapidly growing web service which seems to have bring the revolution to the field of micro blogging. Almost everyone these days who are on active on web have a twitter account, and they would like to spread their twitter ID.

For wordpress based blogs webmasters, it would be a great step if they add twitter id box under comments, this will increase the comments activity as most the users who comment on articles don’t have a website but they do have a twitter account mostly.

In order to add the a separate box with the comment form in wordpress, you will first need to install a wordpress plugin for this and activate the plugin before you do anything else.


You will need to install TwitterLink Comments – which will add an extra field to your comment form so a user can add their Twitter username. A user configured ‘follow me’ link is then displayed along with their details on all their comments.

Note: The extra field and ‘follow me’ link can be configured using the settings page without ever needing to modify any template files.
