WordPress 3.0 New Features

WordPress 3.0 Beta 1 has been released for beta testers, there will be some useful features you will see in new wordpress 3.0 we are giving out some details as released on the official wordpress blog. As this is beta release, better not to test this on your existing site database, create a new database for testing this release.

Custom Menus – You can create custom menus of your own in wordpress 3.0, under Appearance >> Menus

Custom New Post Types - With WordPress 3.0 has introduced custom post types which allows you to create following type of posts

• Quotes
• Chats
• Audio/Podcasts
• and of course Video

New Twenty Ten Theme – WordPress 3.0 has a new Twenty Ten Theme which comes with custom background and header images.

Note: If you already have a test installation then you can upgrade to wordpress 3.0 beta with beta tester plugin
