Windows Phone 7 – Change Default Accent Color or Theme

Windows phone 7 is going to rock as per the initial expressions we are getting about it, just in case when you want to change the color of blocks on the home screen and at all other sections of phones, Windows Phone 7 comes with at least 10 colors that you can use as your accent color as shown in the image below.

The color you choose shows up in various places around your phone, like the tiles on Start, in your App list, on web links, in Messaging, even in Excel Mobile. You can also choose between black and white for your phone’s background.

Change Windows Phone 7 Accent Color

1. On Start, tap the arrow to go to the App list, then tap Settings.

2. Tap Theme.

3. Tap the Accent color list.

4. Tap the color you want to use, then wait a few seconds, or press the Back button. You’ll see the new theme color in the highlight sentence.

Change Windows Phone 7 Background Theme

1. On Start, tap the arrow to go to the App list, then tap Settings.

2. Tap Theme.

3. Tap the Background list.

4. Choose one of the following:

To make your background black, tap Dark.

To make your background white, tap Light.

Tip

For some windows phone 7, the dark background uses less battery power than the light background.
