Snipping tool is default windows tool to take screen shot of your desktop, like a paragraph in a document, a picture you’re editing, or a section of a webpage, it came to existence with vista it was not there with windows XP. Snipping Tool has been greatly enhanced with some new features in windows 7.

It can take screen shot in four formats – A free form screen shot, Rectangular area screen shot, window screen shot, Full Screen screen shot and you can configure some more with options. Moreover it has a semi featured editor in which you can edit and make annotations of the screen shot you take with snipping tool.

Note: This feature is really good as it allows to take screen shots in windows very easily without any need to install any third party program.
