Google has just made an official confirmation on their official google docs blog, that they will be soon rolling out the new feature in the next few weeks to upload, store and organize any type of file in Google Docs. That’s means instead your can use google docs as storage server to store your files and share it with your friends right away.

After this feature made available, you can upload to Google Docs any file up to 250 MB. You’ll have 1 GB of free storage for files which you don’t convert into Google Docs formats (i.e. Google documents, spreadsheets, and presentations). and when you need more space, you can buy additional storage for $0.25 per GB per year which is quite cheap if you compare with other uploading services.
A Note From Google Docs Team: More importantly, instead of carrying a USB drive, you can now use Google Docs as a more convenient option for accessing your files on different computers.
