Now-a-days, most of us listen our favorite songs in iTunes of apple because of its better sound quality and new features. But it doesn’t provide enough options to choose hotkeys accordingly. It has only default hotkeys which makes it difficult to manage.
iTunesControl will not only allow you to choose your hotkeys but also provides more controls for managing your iTunes. When installed in your system, it will run automatically when you will start your iTunes and will appear in the notification area with this icon.
Now, every time you will play a song in your iTunes, a display of the song will appear whose settings can be changed by going in the ‘settings’ by clicking right-click on the icon.
In the settings, there are mainly 6 options. First one is the ‘Display’ which will let you manage the display of the song shown above. For example, its visual effects and visibility.
You can also change the color of the font, background and borders in the option ‘Colors and Fonts’. You can choose to show the album name or artist name or icon on the display in the ‘Formatting’. Also, you can specify the position where the display will come in the option ‘Position and Size’.
I am just showing the ‘Formatting’ option here.
NOTE: Always click ‘Apply’ after making any changes to make it visible on display.
Next is ‘Hotkeys’, one of the most important feature in which you can set hotkeys for different options like volume, play/pause and many more according to your comfort. You just have to put the desired combination in the space provided and click ‘Reset Hotkeys’.
It also provides more features of volume control, song search in the options ‘Features’ and ‘Song Search’ respectively. You can also associate your iTunesControl with your Twitter account in the option ‘Twitter’.
You just have to click ‘Connect to twitter’ which will take you to your twitter log-in. When you will put your username and password, it will generate a Pin code which you have to put in the provided space and it will connect successfully.
But it fails to publish currently playing song on iTunes.
There are also options of ‘Startup and Shutdown’ in which you can choose to run iTunesControl according to your comfort by just clicking the right options.
It has an in-built sleep-timer which provides you to either pause, close iTunes, shutdown, hibernate or suspend your computer. For example, i have chosen to pause iTunes after 30 minutes then first i will press the hotkeys of ‘Sleep Timer’ and then the process will appear like this.
There are also options of ‘language’ in which you can choose your desired language and ‘Miscellaneous’ that are easy to understand and use.
