Tweak and Hack Firefox with about:config to make it more faster.

Yes you can speed up your firefox in terms of page load time required for any website to open a specific page.

Here is a step by step procedure on how to do it:

1.Type “about:config” in the address bar without double quotes and hit enter or return.

Search for the following entries:

  • network.http.pipelining
  • network.http.proxy.pipelining
  • network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

  • Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
  • Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
  • Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to 20. it means you can request to load 20 pages at a time.

With this trick you will notice a considerable decrease in the page load time in firefox if you are using a broadband connection or a dial up connection.
