Turn Off, Disable or Stop Aero Blur In Widows 7

Many of us don’t like the aero blur effect in windows 7 when aero is enabled, most of the people get annoyed and they would prefer it to be more transparent rather than being translucent. This blur is by default enabled when you enable aero in windows, however you can easily get rid of blur with disabling aero but there is no setting in windows which would allow you stop or disable aero blur.

Hence there are some registry tweaks and some free tools which can help you disable aero blur in windows 7, lets discuss about then one by one. Read on further to know more about such tools and tweaks.

Manual Method – This method involves registry tweaks, which means in order to disable aero blur you will need to create a registry key or change the value of some existing key. Save the following text in new blank notepad file and save it as .reg file extension with any name and then double click to merge it to registry once it is saved.

Note: The utility works on both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7, make sure you have .net framework 2.0 installed before using Windows 7 Aero Blur Tweaker.

Third Method By Using the Patch To Disable Blur – It is a small batch script which replaces 2 RTM system files with the beta ones and also incorporates the required registry DWORD values automatically, read the complete procedure here
