Stop Showing Visited Sites, Recently Closed Tabs In Google Chrome New Tab Page

Google chrome has a great feature of showing recently most visited sites by default when you open a new tab in the existing browser session, it suggest you with some thumbnails of your mostly browsed websites as per your browsing history so that if you want to open a recently opened site, you can open just by clicking the thumbnail.

But some how some people don’t like this feature of google chrome, they just don’t want it to show the mostly visited sites and recently closed tabs in google chrome new tab, today we will tell you how can you customize new tab look and feel to hide these most visited sites and recently closed tabs or how to make new tab turn into a blank webpage.

With new version of google chrome released recently, it allows you hide most visited websites and recently closed tabs in google chrome just by clicking a close button the top right corner as shown in the image below.

As shown in the image below this close button shows on the right corner of websites thumbnails and recently closed tabs, just when you click close button. Both of these frames will disappear on the new tab page and will be shown as link at the bottom center of the new tab page as shown in the image below.

At the bottom center location both of these frames will be left un noticed by most of the users, they can be restored once a user clicks on them. Just in case if you are not happy with the above solution and would like to make new tab completely clean and make it blank, you can install the new tab extension for google chrome to remove most visited websites and recently closed tabs foreever.

After installing the new tab extension your new tab page in google chrome will looks like as shown in the image below.
