Spiffy is a free tool which will alert you about the mails you get for multiple gmail accounts however right now it supports two gmail account, but support for more accounts will be added in the upcoming releases.
This application has a very simple and basic interface which allows you to configure two gmail accounts for mail alerts, and can set the time interval after which it should check for the new mails.
