Twitter is one of the most popular social networking service and most of you keep on checking your account frequently to update status and see notifications of Tweets from all the people whom you follow on Twitter. An easy way to remain active on Twitter is by using it directly from Microsoft Outlook.
Most of you must be wondering as how to club Twitter with Microsoft Outlook but yes it is possible now. Everyone have an habit of synchronizing the mail server with Outlook and make Outlook always running in the background. So from outlook only you can enjoy your Twitter by using a simple tool named TwInbox. It is a nifty utility and it seamlessly integrates Twitter in Microsoft Outlook in a tab form and you can enjoy full featured Twitter client at your fingertips without using any other application.
This is the new tab bar which you will notice in your Microsoft Outlook when you install this tool. Most business professional uses Microsoft Outlook for keeping a watch over their mailbox, so this tool could also be perfect for them too as they can easily access Twitter from Outlook only and that too without wasting any time.
To start accessing Twitter from Outlook, first click on New from the new Twitter Tab bar. Then a Wizard will open as shown below.
Click on Next to proceed to next step. You are required to enter your login details i.e Twitter user name and password in the respective box and then click on next to proceed to final step.
Finally you will need to choose a main folder where you want TwInbox to store your tweets. You can choose any folder of your Outlook by simply selecting it from the Select Folder option. You can see below that I have chosen Inbox for storing my tweets. You can also put a tick mark on checkbox to follow the developer of this tool for new releases and updates notifications.
Once you have configured all the steps, then you can use this tool. Simply click on new and write your Tweet in the dialog box from Outlook only.
This tool will also show you updates from your Tweeter buddies. You can even use Outlook’s “Reply” and “Reply All” commands to send twitter direct messages and replies to your buddies. You can also upload pictures and other files directly from Outlook email attachments. It will also show you good news from Twitter in the Outlook Tab only.
You can also download all the Tweets matching a desired keyword even if are not following the tweet sender. This feature is perfect for keeping up to date with the Twitter buzz on your name, brand, interests, etc. This tool also shows you the graph of your Twitter usage statistics and the Tweets sent by you are marked with high importance in Outlook only so that you can see them at a glance.
