Search On Bing From FireFox Search Bar – Add Bing To FireFox Search Box

ADVERTISEMENTS

Microsoft has recently publicly launched their new search engine Bing which is much better and faster as compared to old live search. I had performed couple of searches on bing and found the results very good and quickly, looks like Microsoft had modified the old live search to make it more precise and quick this time.

Bing provides some great general search results now, with high relevance, big index and quick speed. So, lately I have been studying about various other articles of bing tips and tricks and how to add bing to windows 7 and while surfing I came across another cool addon which adds bing to the firefox search bar.

The name of this firefox addon is Bing and its adds bing as a search engine source to the firefox address bar so that you can search any text query on bing from the firefox search bar itself without opening bing.com

bing-search-firefox

This addon will allow you to search any text with search suggestions which makes it more usable and behave just like google tool bar embedded in firefox search bar which provides suggestions when you search.

i am using both Bing and Google a nd i thin k both search engines give relevant search results. i would still prefer Google though, because it gives a little bit more relevant search results than Bing.

BING search engine is just as good as Google. In my own personal experience, Google does give more releveant search result than Bing but the difference is very small. **

i think that Bing is not as good as Google. Google would still index new websites faster than Bing. Microsoft would still need a lot of catching to do with GoogleBot.

I use both Bing and Google search engine and i dont see much difference in their search results. I use google for searching hard to find academic topics and Bing for general search.
