Protect Passwords Getting Logged In Hidden Keyloggers With Neo’s SafeKeys

We have previously written several tips on how to deface hidden keylogger and how to detect a hidden keylogger installed on any computer and also written about how to use a keylogger for educational purposes only.

What is KeyLogging ? or What does key logger do ?

Keystroke logging (often called keylogging) is the practice of noting (or logging) the keys struck on a keyboard, typically in a covert manner so that the person using the keyboard is unaware that their actions are being monitored.

Neo’s SafeKeys is a small freeware utility that helps you to protect your confidential information getting logged by hidden keylogger installed on public computers you use in college libraries,  internet cafe and labs, office computers or even some times at their remote computers. It is a custom-made tool that allows for you to type your password using the virtual on screen keyboard with mouse-click.

Once you type the password using this virtual screen key board it will appear in the text box inside the application, after you done typing your password select the asterisk text and then drag and drop into the password box on your online webpage opened in browser.

Key Features

  • Unlike the Windows on-screen keyboard, Neo’s SafeKeys does not translate on-screen key presses to actual key presses (the Windows on-screen keyboard does not protect you against keyloggers)
  • You don’t use your keyboard (keyloggers cannot record the password)
  • The utility changes width and height each time, as well as its placement on the screen (to fool mouse-loggers, buttons will always be in different positions each time you use the program)
  • Nothing is stored in the clipboard (clipboard loggers cannot save the password).
  • You can use upper-case letters and symbols (such as !@#${}) by pressing the CAP button – no matter how complex your password is, the utility can type it.
  • Protection against screen loggers: There are different mouse-entry methods. Some keyloggers take screenshots every time you do a mouse-click. Now you can register on-screen entry by hovering over on-screen buttons.
  • The on-screen keyboard can be scrambled or changed to the Dvorak layout. In addition, the ‘real’ keyboard entry can match the onscreen layout.
  • You can hide typed keys in amongst random computer-entered keystrokes
