NDTV Gadget Guru Awards 2011 – Categories & Gadgets Names Which Were Awarded

New Delhi, March 22, 2011. In a first of its kind Tech Event in India, NDTV Good Times presented the Gadget Guru Conclave & Awards 2011 at a splendid ceremony in Kingdom of Dreams in true NDTV style! These are the biggest awards that the country has seen so far in the field of Consumer Electronics, Gadgets and Technology to honour innovation.

An electrifying Awards Ceremony celebrated and honoured the best innovations that the world of technology has witnessed in the last one year. Awards were given away across 17 categories for the most innovative and techno-savvy gadgets and gizmos. The awards night witnessed the participation of chief representatives from some of the biggest technology brands in India along with Bollywood celebrities and the fashion fraternity.

The awards were hosted by NDTV’s Technology gurus Vikram Chandra and Rajiv Makhni who have been at the forefront to bring the best of news and reviews on technology for the Indian Consumers and the team behind India’s longest running tech show – Gadget Guru. Their co-host charismatic Gauahar Khan of Zangoora looked refreshing and kept the spirits high.

The event started with a unique Conclave and Technology Fair which provided a platform for companies and experts alike to share ideas debate and discuss latest trends in the field of technology. Over 30 tech companies showcased new product launches and demonstrations in the first of its kind ‘Experience Zone’. NDTV’s Technology gurus Vikram Chandra and Rajiv Makhni acted as moderators for two interesting sessions at the Conclave – Impact of 3G in India and Is the era of Wow technology over. Siddharth Basu, Shri Sudhir Gupta, Advisor,Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and Gurdeep Singh, COO Aircel were among the distinguished panellists.

Speaking on NDTV’s deep-rooted relationship with technology, Vikram Chandra, CEO, NDTV Limited Networks said, “The biggest asset of the Gadget Guru awards is credibility. Not only is a rigorous system followed for nominations, but we have been able to assemble as a jury some of the most respected names in the field. That leads to heated moments in the jury room, but it ensures that the best gadgets win

The key highlight of the awards show was the scintillating performance of Zangoora, India’s biggest Bollywood musical. The star cast of the grandiose stage production featuring actor Hussain Kuwajarewala, Gauahar Khan and Kashmira Irani presented a stellar performance on the romantic musical.

It is a great showcase of the best of gadgets and devices, the hottest debates and recognising the efforts of the technology world.”
