Ever wanted to know who is calling you before you pick up the call so that you can decide whether to attend it or not? This is certainly a must wish for all of the mobile users and why shouldn’t it be as we do not want to get disturbed by unknown numbers. But can we do something about it ? To an extent, yes by activating services like Don Not Disturb provided by your network provider.
Still I want to question that is it done? Definitely not as we expect a lot and wish completely hassle free services. Toady we are going to talk about an application which is powerful enough to let you gain full control over the incoming calls. Known as TrueCaller, the app supports more than 100 devices and runs in the background and activates on incoming phone calls and text messages (SMS).
A pop up window is displayed every time a call comes or made showing the city, country, network provide and other details and similarly for an incoming SMS a preview window is displayed. One can even know the the above details of a number by simply searching it and it is applicable for numbers from 25 countries. You can even update your phonebook numbers with details including street, city, zip code etc.
How TrueCaller Works?
- You receive a phone call from a number that is not saved in your phone book
- TrueCaller app will search for the number in the databases of the application developer
- If TrueCaller finds the number it will be display it on the screen whereas If not found you will be prompted, “No matches found…” but will tell you the city and network provider
- When phone call ends TrueCaller will ask you if you want to save the caller to your phone book provided the caller’s details are found in the databases.
Other important features include a call filter and connection to popular social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIN. With social connectivity you can notify people on twitter while you are on a call whereas with Facebook and LinkedIn connectivity you can see your friends latest status message and profile picture on incoming and outgoing calls.
