There are times when you are working on a specific program in windows and there are many other programs windows and explorer window which you might have opened for some purpose but now you are just working on a single window without any idea with all the other inactive and useless programs windows surrounded as shown in the image below.
At this time, if you want to focus on only one window and you would manually need to minimize all the other windows which is tedious task and time consuming as well, but there is a freeware software called activator which helps you minimize all the inactive useless programs windows except for the one which is is focused, in order to focus any window just click on anywhere on the windows with your mouse or touch pad, then launch activator.
Some thing similar like you can do in windows 7 by using the aero shake feature just click the title bar of the window you’re trying to focus on, and "shake" it around (move it from side to side quickly). All the other windows will get minimized instantly this way. Or else you can press Win+Home keys and every inactive window instantly minimizes. Hitting Win+Home again un-minimizes every window.
Each time you run the Activator it will minimize all inactive windows (the windows that are behind the one you currently work), letting you enjoy an absolutely clean environment, leaving only your recently active window over the wallpaper of your desktop as shown in the image below.
We would recommend you to pin the activator program icon to windows 7 taskbar for its quick launch and use as shown in the image below.
Activator consumes no memory at all, it is invoked by a keyboard shortcut you can choose at will, and after it minimizes all inactive windows, it closes itself. Another thing to note down about activator is that, it does not work for windows which are in maximized state already.
