You use different image viewer applications to view your image files, but a little problem with them is that most of image viewer doesn’t display properties of your image file like dimension, size or extension. If you want to see these properties then you will need to right click on every image file and then see its properties. So to solve your this problem, you can use a new tool called MetroViewer Beta.
MetroViewer Beta is a simple Image viewer tool which you can use to view all your image files of any format. This tool is very simple to use and is developed by SalvoG primarily for Windows. The special thing about this tool is that this tool has Metro user interface. You must be aware that Metro user interface is developed by Microsoft for their windows phone 7 smartphones.
Hence this tool is developed, keeping in mind the footsteps of Microsoft of focussing on content rather than focussing on the user interface and style of the applications. When you will install this tool, you will see a window like shown above. Now you can use this tool to view any of your image file. To view your image file, you will need to click on Open Button which is located on bottom of this tool’s screen.
When you click on this Open Button, A new window will open. Now you can go to location where you have stored your image and click on it and then press open. You can even Drag and Drop image files in this tool to view them.
If you want to see properties of your opened image file, then you will just need to put your cursor on top of options displayed on this tool’s screen and this tool will show you that particular specification. As you can see above, I have placed my cursor on dimensions, and this tool is displaying the dimensions of image which I have opened.
If you want to move the window of this tool, then you will need to click on the Coloured area which I have highlighted in following snapshot and then drag it to any part of your desktop screen.
And if you want to maximize the window, then you will need to double click on the coloured area which I have highlighted above. The other options available in the bottom of this tool are pin/unpin, Send feedback, About MetroViewer and last is to Close this tool.
Pin/Unpin will reduce or increase the size of your image. Open as I have already explained, can be used to open file. You can use option Send Feedback to send suggestions to the developer of this tool if you have any. Then next option About MetroViewer will tell you about basic information and links related to this tool. Next is the Close option which is obviously to close this tool.
The size of this tool is around 1.7 Mb and still it will not take much time to get installed and as usual it will create a desktop shortcut which can be used to use this freeware. This tool is compatible with all the versions of Windows and has been tested successfully on Windows 7- 32 bit edition.
