Geosense is a Windows based Sensor which provides Location and Sensors platform in Windows 7 with accurate and reasonably ubiquitous positioning information without requiring or the assistance of any GPS hardware, enabling more practical location-based applications and scenarios on Windows 7.

It is an hybrid mix of geolocation service providers and geolocation methods to pinpoint the most accurate location information possible which includes WiFi triangulation, cell tower triangulation and IP lookup and lot more.

Note: Currently Geosense is made to work google location services with WiFi and IP, it is available for both 32 bit and 64 bit version of windows 7.

Geosense and windows 7 location services provides a way to get some advantages in terms of the location based services. However there are not much applications right now which uses windows 7 location platform but there will be some in future
