How To Setup iPhone Push Notifications For New Gmail, Calendar Events With Google Mobile App

Google iPhone mobile app has been updated to support push notifications from your Google account to your iPhone — an icon badge shows you’ve got new mail in Gmail, and Google Calendar event reminders appear right on your home screen.

If you don’t have google mobile app for iphone then you can get it from apple store on your iphone, or to update google mobile app on your iphone, you may not see the update prompt at the apple store app icon – better go and search google mobile app at the apple store on your iphone and install the google mobile app for iphone to get the latest push feature in the app.

Once you have updated the google mobile phone app, follow the procedure below to configure push updates on your iphone.

1. Open updated or new google mobile app, tap google account here under the settings tab

2. Now add google account here for which you are using gmail, and google calendar

Now you will need to enter the username and password for the account you would like to receive push notifications for new mails and calendar events. Once you have added the events you can turn on push notifications for mail and calendar.

For all the above to work, Make sure that you turn on the google app notifications under settings >> notifications
