Pinning a program to start menu or taskbar could be a good way to save time in windows 7 so that you can directly access these programs which you most often use more quickly. But if you pin the recently used programs shown in start menu to task bar they will get disappeared from start menu
So if you want to pin the most recently used program to both start menu and taskbar, make sure you first select to Pin to start menu and then right click the pinned item in start menu and then select Pin to Taskbar.
