How to install windows live writer on old windows xp system

When you want to install latest version of windows live writer and downloaded the WLInstaller but the WLinstaller that you have downloaded is not running and displaying the message that it needs a critical update in order to download and install windows live writer.

But why your windows xp needs some critical update?


It is because you have windows xp doesn’t  have the Dotnet Framework 1.1 so, you just need to download free dotnet framework 1.1 from Microsoft Website.
