Every file is supposed to be open by a one or more specific program which can recognise that file type, when it comes to changing a program for a file type it is very simple you just need to right click the file and go to properties and then change the default.
What if you want to change default program for more than one file type in bulk in windows 7, here is another way to change the programs for file type in bulk.
Go to Start Menu >> Control Panel >> Default Programs and click the link Associate a File Type or protocol with a program
Change the program for any file type from here, after selecting a file type and then click change program button or double click the entry.
