Its been some time now when you will see some new innovative changes being rolled out in upcoming versions of google chrome which will make it more useful and personalized for the users using it and if you have the google chrome latest beta version which is 13.x.x.x or higher in which you can test out the new experimental features.
You can enable such one feature is hiding the google chrome toolbar and address bar called Compact Navigation which will give you more browsing space, this feature is much useful on smaller screens like netbooks as shown in the image below. It adds a "Hide the toolbar" entry to the tabstrip’s context menu. Use this to toggle between always displaying the toolbar (default) and only opening it as a drop down box as needed.
In order enable this feature, you just need to type about:flags in the address bar to open up these experimental feature and click enable for the compact navigation as shown in the image below.
Once this feature is enabled, you will see the google chrome looks like as shown in the image below.
