Gmail Enable Send Email Message In Background Feature

There are times when you may be sending some big files or large number of photos through gmail at such times gmail servers might take much time to attach the photos depending on your internet connection speed and the most common delays happens once you have pressed “Send” button, when you’re waiting patiently for a couple seconds for Gmail to send your message. If you send a lot of email, that can add up to a lot of lost time.

In order to help you recover this time, gmail team has introduced a new feature which allows you to quietly sends off your mail in the background. You can keep reading your inbox, compose new messages, chat with people or any other thing you’d usually do.


In case if some thing goes wrong like you may have specified a wrong email id or may be your connection to internet was lost it will display a warning message that’s prompts you to go back and fix the issue and try again later.


The “Send error” message will stay there until you decide to fix it, so you don’t have to stop whatever you’re doing right away. But the only thing you need to keep in mind while sending a mail in background is that you are not supposed to close gmail or shutdown your computer when email is being sent in background. 1. Login to your gmail account

2. Now go to the labs section under gmail settings

3. Search for background send under labs feature search as shown in the image below.


4. Now enable this feature and click save changes button as shown in the image below.
