When ever you view a folder in windows explorer, it saves the view settings of this folder into the Registry. ShellBagsView is a free tool by NirSoft, this utility displays the list of all folder settings saved by Windows. For each folder, the following information is displayed: The date/time that you opened it, the entry number, display mode (Details, Icons, Tiles, and so on…), the last position of the window, and the last size of the window.
You can export and restore any folder view settings, by saving the view settings to a file which you can restore back. [ as shown in the image below ]
Or just edit any folder view settings by double clicking the folder settings shown in the application itself.
