Erase or Delete Libraries Desktop Icon In Windows 7

I don’t know how it occurred but suddenly I see libraries icon on windows 7 desktop, no matter how I tried but I could not remove these icons form my desktop either by dragging theme to recycle bin or by pressing shift+delete [permanent delete].

When I right click on these icons they do not show any option to permanently delete.

After some googling I figured out that the only way to remove these icons from desktop it to tweak windows registry, Windows Seven Forums has already posted a resolution to this problem by creating registry files which you need to merge to your windows registry to add or remove the libraries icon on desktop in windows 7

To Add Libraries Icon To Windows 7 Desktop

Download the file Add_Libraries_Desktop_Icon.zip, extract the archive and double click the registry file to merge in windows registry – it might ask you before merging to system registry – click Yes to confirm.

To Delete Libraries Icon To Windows 7 Desktop

Download the file Remove_Libraries_Desktop_Icon.zip, extract the archive and double click the registry file to merge in windows registry – it might ask you before merging to system registry – click Yes to confirm.
