When I used Echofon on my iPhone I really liked the way it used to suggest the usernames from my friend list whenever I started typing a text starting with “@” symbol.

This feature is very useful for any twitter user when you want to address someone in your tweet and you don’t remember their twitter handles. Username Auto Complete will give you a search-box wherein you can search your friends while typing a tweet.

To enable Username Auto Complete, simply click the settings icon on the top right corner of your Tweetdeck screen:

Now on the settings page, General Settings tab, enable the options which says “Use auto complete for usernames” :

Tada, now every time, you type @ symbol while composing a tweet, it will give you a search box as shown below where in you can search for the twitter handles of people from your friend list.
