I am using Flickr pro account from a long time now, I upload all my photos on my flickr account as it is very convenient to share. This time when I uploaded the samsung tab close up pictures on flickr I wanted to embed the entire set in my blog post on my wordpress blog.
When I google about this, I found some great promising wordpress plugin which could allow me to embed some photos or even entire set of pictures through wordpress in my blog post on samsung galaxy tab. After some time I got the magical code, which allows you to embed a full set of pictures from flickr into your blog post in the form of a cool slide show which automatically runs through all the pictures and it can also be controlled by the user.
Below is the snapshot of that embed slideshow in the blog post, read on further on how to embed it in your blog post.
In order to embed a slideshow like the one shown in the image above, you will need to go this free webservice called flickrslidr.com and then copy the URL of the set, add tags to your slideshow and then click the button create slideshow as shown in the image below.
Once you click the button create slideshow, you have the code ready in the box below the button which you can use in your blog post as shown in the image below. You can also preview the slideshow at the bottom of this page.
We recommend you to add this code to your blog post in HTML or code view so that the code does not break. There is another second way to add this type of slideshow of a set of pictures by generating a slideshow code from flickr directly, follow the procedure below to do the same.
Firstly identify the set of pictures of yours which you want to embed as a slideshow in your blog post, go to that flickr set dedicated page, you will see the option to run a slideshow at the top right corner of the page as shown in the image below.
Click the slideshow link to start the slideshow of pictures in full browser screen, now locate the option to share this on the top right of the browser screen when this slideshow is running, and click it to get the embed code which you can put into your blog post or website page as shown in the image below.
These are the two ways with which you can embed photos from flickr to your wordpress blog or website without using any plugin or without installing any software on your website server.
