Gladinet has it's uses... I use it mainly to download in batch.
No offense to DragDropUpload ext, but that only allows you to upload a maximum of 5 files per session because that's the limit of the HTML upload form. Not enough!

I use IE8 + upload tool to upload more than 5 files at once. Usually 10 or 20 splits, depending on the type of the upload. It uploads with 80 KB/s and I don't know if it's a fixed limitation or a third of the total available upload bandwidth, mine being at 256 KB/s. So opening another two tabs and uploading in parallel will max out my bw if I want it so. Most of the times I just do two parallel sessions and leave some up bw for browsing request.

For downloading, it's pretty painfully to do it within the browser, may it be IE or Firefox, and a tool like Gladinet is a lifesaver.

Beside Gladinet there is SkyDrive Explorer, and as buggy as Gladinet might be, you wouldn't want to know how SkyDrive Explorer does in this department. Trust me!

Once, I've copied a bunch of files from the SkyDrive Explorer virtual directory of my account and pasted them on my HDD... well, out of 10 files of 50 MB each I found myself with a 500 file. I declared it non-functional, after being on development for quite some time, it can't even manage to do this BASIC task! Pretty poor!

Uninstalled it and tried the next solution.

Gladinet does work as intended, but it's interface is buggy. What counts, the internal working is functional. After downloading a batch of files on my HDD, I hashed them and checked against the hashes of the original files before the upload and they matched. So it works... and it's for free!

Can't ask for more!

gladinet is BLOATWARE and infests your system.. while it's not malware it's bloody poorly designed.... nice idea try again hire a competent developer

get the firefox extension: dragdropupload

to make dragging A GROUP of files to the upload fields easier

<a href="http://www.teslacore.it/wiki/index.php?title=DragDropUpload" rel="nofollow">http://www.teslacore.it/wiki/index.php?title=DragDropUpload</a>

I've been using an implementation of it for years over many versions of firefox.

IE8 still cannot hold a candle to firefox.

Only firefox sports http://EasyList.adblockplus.org and a whole HOST of brilliant adblocking- and adhiding tools. IE8 falls waaaaaaaaaay short of the barely sufficient mark. Even Iron Chromium has better adblocking options than IE8

check out http://www.gladinet.com. There is a beta program allowing you to mount SkyDrive as a virtual folder in windows explorer. You can do drag and drop without a browser. Good for Firefox users.
