The size of this freeware is very small i.e. around 50 Kb, which can be marked as negligible and so it can be predicted that this tool will not get installed. It can be launched from the .exe file itself and then you will see an application window where all the operations can be performed. If you want to use this tool on older versions of Windows like 98 or NT, then you will have to download another version known as MMCompView. This tool is compatible with all the version of Windows as it has been checked with Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate edition.
