Create Long Names Labels In Gmail [Now Supported]

Google always takes care of the problems which might annoy you while using their web services. That is the reason Google always keeps on updating their web services by introducing some or the other new feature in it. After reading the title of the post you must have got an idea that today we will be talking about a very small change which has been made recently in the Gmail features. Though it might be very small for you but then it really very useful for those you have lots and lots of mails to manage in their account.

Google has finally extended the limit of the label names for your mails. Initially it was 40 characters and now it has been extended upto 250 characters. Now most of you will think that you cannot name any of your labels more than 40 characters then what favor will this new improvement will do. Yes, I also believe that you will not name any of the labels more than 40 characters but then if you want to use nested labels then the name of the last label has the whole path written in its name, now this might make the name of your last label quite long. So, keeping this problem in mind they have gone introducing this extension in the names of the labels.

Initially Google used to shorten the name of the labels by removing the characters and replacing them my some dots, but now you will see the whole name provided it is still shorter than 250 characters, if it goes beyond 250 then again Google will do the same as it used to do previously. I think most of the users using GMail professionally will take a huge sigh of relief.
