@Phil – I have been using CCleaner for a long time now, and just like to tell you that even ccleaner may clean but never deletes index.dat files – you can test is as well after running i have already tested it does not delete the index.dat files and you can easily locate all the index.dat files on your hard disk with a program called everything – you can find the review of the same here on technix update.

The wildly popular program Piriform CCleaner does have an option to clean index dat files so your statement “Irrespective of what ever program you have been using to clean windows history they does not clean or delete index.dat files on your computer as they protected in real time by windows operating system.” is not really true.
