ALL Ways To Remove / Delete A Specific Typed URL In History Of Address Bar Typed URLs In Internet Explorer

We may browse many websites Via Internet Explorer and some times we want to delete a specific URL from the address bar history of typed URLs in the Internet Explorer address bar. 

But Internet Explorer as such does not provide any option of deleting a specific URL in the history of recently typed URL history of address bar.

Today’ we will tell you all the ways to delete the desired URL from the history typed URLs in Internet Explorer

First Method – Removing The Typed URLs In The Address Bar Via Registry

Internet Explorer stores all the typed URLs in a registry where you can locate and delete the specific URL from the list and prevent it from showing in internet explorer address bar as the user types the URL

1. Open Start Menu >> Run, type regedit and press Enter key on the keyboard

2. Navigate to the following path

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

3. In the right pane you will see the list of all the recently typed URLs in Internet Explorer Address bar

4. Locate, Select and Delete the specific URL you don’t want to appear in recently typed URLs list in Address Bar

Second Method – Edit or Delete The Typed URLs In Address Bar Via IEHistoryView and  Address Bar URL Editor

There are two free utilities which lets you clear entire or specific URLs from address bar Typed URLs History of Internet Explorer

IEHistoryView – This utility reads all the information from the history file and displays the list of all URLs that you have visited in the last few days. It allows you to remove one or more URL address and then remove them from the history file
