Add Password To Open Images, Photos

You may have some pictures stored on your computer which you don’t want others to see, we had already written some methods to add password to open some files and another method through which you can add password to view certain images.

Today we will tell you about a free program called LockImage which lets you add password to open certain image, so no one can open or view that image without the correct password.

LockImage is a freeware software which allows you to protect an image by converting it into a password protected executable with an embedded viewer. It consists of exactly one file and does not need any installation.

In order to lock an image with this software, you just need to open the image with this software and then save the image as executable file by selecting Save As under File menu

After specifying the execuatble name type in the password to protect the image as shown in the image below.

In order to view the password protected image you don’t need any extra software, just double click the executable and type he correct password to view the image.

Click ok after adding the right password, it will open up the image protected in the executable file.

Note: Please note that the images protected with this tool, cannot be converted back to image format once they are protected with the software.
