10$/Rs 500 Laptop India Becomes Reality

Finally our government has done the impossible possible, The $10 or Rs 500 laptop dream comes true because of the work put in by students of Vellore Institute of Technology, scientists in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, IIT-Madras and involvement of PSUs like Semiconductor Complex.
Although the final laptop will come out to be around for $20 due to involvement of some PSU’s and engineering institutes. This very cheap laptop will have 2 GB of expandable memory, fixed internet and working WiFi.
The working prototype of the $10 laptop will be on display in Tirupati on February 3 in the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology.
